1. Using the app and website
These Terms & Conditions apply to QR & Barcode Scanner: Create (the “app”) and its product website. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and website.
You must be able to accept these terms under the rules that apply to you, or use the app with the authorization of a parent or guardian where required. Questions can be sent to support@appsbean.com.
2. What the app does
The app scans QR codes and barcodes, creates QR images, provides actions for supported results, and offers local history, favorites, and CSV import and export. Core scanning and creation work offline. External websites, messaging services, maps, payment pages, and other destinations may require connectivity and separate software.
The website describes the app and provides support information. Its frame preview is an illustrative styling demo with a fixed example code; it is not a full QR generation service.
Features can depend on your device, operating system, permissions, and app version. Screenshots may show a different version or appearance from your own device.
3. Permission to use
Subject to these terms and any applicable app-store conditions, you may install and use the app for lawful personal or business purposes. You may create and share QR images containing information you are entitled to use.
The app’s software, visual identity, and original website materials remain protected by their respective owners’ intellectual property rights. These terms do not transfer ownership of the app or grant rights to third-party logos or content. Any separate open-source licenses continue to apply to their covered components.
4. Your content and responsible use
You are responsible for information you scan, enter, import, export, or share. Check that you have permission to use it and that sharing it will not disclose someone else’s private information.
- Do not use the app to create or distribute deceptive, malicious, unlawful, or rights-infringing content.
- Do not present a QR code as belonging to a person or organization without authorization.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the app, misuse its services, or bypass protections in ways prohibited by applicable law.
- Review codes containing Wi-Fi credentials, contact information, or other sensitive details before sharing them.
You retain any rights you have in your own content. Encoding it in a QR code does not create new ownership rights in the underlying material.
5. External links, actions, and payments
A readable code is not a guarantee that its contents or destination are safe, accurate, or legitimate. Review unfamiliar URLs and check the recipient before taking an action. The app does not endorse a destination simply because it can decode its code.
Websites, social platforms, communication apps, networks, and payment services are controlled by their respective providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
A payment-link QR code only contains a link. The app does not itself process the payment, hold funds, verify a recipient, or handle a transaction dispute. Your selected payment provider is responsible for its payment service.
6. Local data and backups
Your scan history and created codes are stored locally when history is enabled. You are responsible for retaining any information you need. Clearing app storage, removing the app, changing devices, or losing your phone may result in data loss.
CSV export and image sharing can help you keep copies, but you should check the exported files and protect them. The app team cannot restore history that was stored only on your device.
The Privacy Policy explains on-device processing, optional services, permissions, and support correspondence.
7. Availability and accuracy
We aim to provide a useful app, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or perfect results for every code, camera, image, or device. Damaged, blurred, unsupported, or misleading codes may not be read as expected.
Check important information and test QR images before relying on them, printing them, or distributing them. Phone-number length checks help with input formatting; they do not verify ownership or whether a number is active.
The app and website are provided on an “as available” basis, subject to any rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Responsibility and applicable rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app team is not responsible for losses caused by third-party destinations, inaccurate information supplied by a code’s creator, unauthorized sharing by a user, or failure to retain local data.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, consumer protections, remedies, or other rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Any applicable mandatory rights take precedence over conflicting wording in these terms.
9. Changes, discontinuation, and contact
We may improve, change, or discontinue features, and may update these terms to reflect changes to the app or its operation. The revision date appears at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate app or website notice.
You can stop using the app at any time. Preserve any local information you need before uninstalling or clearing app storage.
